The Red Clay Strays Chester Concert reviews
Boring lifeless show
"I've seen The Red Clay Strays 5 times, and this was not only one of the worst shows period I've ever seen, its the worst The Red Clay Strays show I've seen. One, The Red Clay Strays seemed to have no enthusiasm or energy (same with their band) and two, he played one of the worst setlists I've heard in a long long long time. Its like he went through his catalog of lemons and chose all the songs. I was happy he did 5 Smiths songs, the Smiths have no bad songs, but The Red Clay Strays does, and he played them all. I always thought concerts, were about playing for the fans that shelled out the dough and took the time to come out and hear you play. Apparently not. He should remove - "Throwing my arms around Paris, You have killed me, Let me kiss you, Speedway, One day Goodbye, Black Cloud, blah blah blah from his lame setlist. He doesnt tour enough to be sick of doing, Suedehead, Hairdresser on Fire, Interesting Drug, Tomorrow, Irish Blood, Find out for yourself. etc... Also, I love Still Ill, but why do it if you dont have harmonica? He also has some amazing songs, but sadly he left them all home. He forgot how to do a show, living holed up in LA much too long.
